Guide to Sustainable Shipping Solutions

Globe Marine Director & Founder

Our Story

Dr Tamara Topic is a director and owner of a consultancy for sustainable decarbonisation of ships, Globe Marine.

“I founded Globe Marine to enable shipping companies to navigate quickly towards decarbonisation. Decarbonisation needs simplification and realistic cost management. I am passionate about supporting top management and investors to make well-informed decisions on future technology and low-carbon fuels.

Shipping and marine technology C-suite needs to keep abreast with the latest technologies, regulatory requirements and new concepts of social responsibility and environmental impact management. Measurement of emissions, Scope 1, 2 and 3, non-financial data verification and reporting, double materiality assessment, CII assessment, and ETS optimisation, all require non-partial analyses and internal reporting to company leadership for informed decisions on cost, emissions and energy-effective decarbonisation pathway.”

Dr Tamara Topić, a naval architect and sustainability expert, founded Globe Marine to guide shipping companies toward effective decarbonization. Her consultancy emphasizes digitalization, alternative fuels, emissions measurement, and compliance with environmental standards. With extensive qualifications, Dr Topić leads projects focused on sustainable practices in maritime technology and energy optimization.
